Salone Del Mobile. Milano 2023

Milan Design Week 2023 – Salone del Mobile – returned to its pre-Covid-19 glory last month, attracting 310,000 visitors from 181 countries.
Apart from its dedicated exhibition centre in Rho, just north of Milan, the design fair takes over the whole of the city of Milan, from palaces and churches, to swimming pools and tennis clubs and even a defunct bank branch and abandoned abattoir. Each and every spot is transformed into an exciting, inspiring, thought-provoking platform for the latest and the greatest in interior design.
One installation that stood out as a glittering example of design excellence and sheer ingenuity was that of GROHE, the leading German manufacturer of bathroom and kitchen fittings. GROHE took over the magnificent Pinacoteca di Brera, the main art gallery and museum in Milan, founded in 1809 by Napoleon.
The building’s inner courtyard, with a bronze statue of Napoleon at its centre, was flooded with water, upon which four mirrored rooms seemingly floated. It was inside one of these rooms that Grohe SPA unveiled its collaboration with Caesarstone® – the Atrio and Allure Brilliant Private Collections. Inlays of Caesarstone® marble-inspired White Attica™ and Vanilla Noir™ feature in both the taps and the handles of the precision tapware, creating an almost jewel-like feature to each piece.
In recognition of its design excellence, the Atrio Private Collection was awarded the coveted iF Gold Award 2023 – one of the most prestigious international product design awards in the world.
