Care & Maintenance tips

Step-by-Step Care

  1. Clean the whole surface thoroughly after installation with soapy water and a microfiber cloth or non-abrasive scourer.

  2. Dry the surface thoroughly with a paper towel.

  1. We recommend wiping the surface with warm soapy water or a mild detergent and a clean damp cloth or using our convenient Caesarstone® Spray Cleaner.

  2. Remove stains as soon as possible for easy cleaning and practical, immediate results.

  3. To prevent limescale build-up, it is essential to thoroughly wash cleaning material residue off the surface and dry thoroughly with paper towels.

You can place cookware directly on Porcelain countertops straight from the oven or the cooktop. However, devices that emit constant heat over a long period should be placed on an insulated benchtop mat and not directly on the Porcelain surface.

  1. For stubborn stains, whether they are resistant to mild detergent or due to the stains being left on the surface for a long time, we recommend cleaning the entire surface with Caesarstone® Cream Cleanser and a 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Non-Scratch Foam Scrub.

  2. Always use cleaning materials according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  3. After cleaning, rinse the surface with plenty of water and dry thoroughly with paper towels.

  1. Do not use hydrofluoric acid or materials containing it.

  2. Before using any new cleaning product, check on a small, inconspicuous area that is effective and does not damage the surface.

  3. After using any cleaning product, it is essential to thoroughly remove any residue with water.

  4. It is important to immediately wipe up liquids spilled on the surface for ease of stain removal.

  5. Do not use oil-based cleaning or polishing materials, as these can leave an oily film on the surface and make it more sensitive to staining.

  6. If the surface comes into contact with any products that might damage it, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

  7. Carefully scrape off dried materials such as food, gum or nail polish with a putty knife and then clean the surface with a damp cloth.

  8. Caesarstone® Porcelain surfaces are highly resistant to scratches. However, we recommend cutting on a chopping board for daily use.

  9. Do not allow direct contact with a naked flame.

  10. Do not polish the surface with a polishing machine.

  11. Take care to prevent hard knocks on exposed areas, particularly edges, as this can cause breaks and chips.

  1. Dark surfaces are more prone to showing fingerprints, limescale and other signs of daily living than light surfaces. As such, some dark Porcelain models may need more frequent cleaning.

  2. Dark Porcelain colours, like all dark surfaces, tend to be more sensitive to scratch marks. It is therefore essential to protect the surface from sharp objects.

  3. Limescale is more visible on dark models than on light colours, so liquid should be wiped up and not left to dry out on the surface.

Top Care and Maintenance FAQ

The term ‘Sintered Stone’ is used by numerous manufacturers to refer to a specific part of the production process, whereby minerals are melted and solidified at high temperatures. This process, which requires no binders, may be relevant to several raw materials compositions, including that of Porcelain.

This process is not exclusive, nor is the term ‘Sintered Stone’. It is also not a testament or claim to a better product. Any claim related to better performance and/or easier fabrication should be tested carefully before making any assumptions.

Caesarstone Porcelain has one of the best proficiency claims for cutting and has been adopted by leading fabricators globally. Caesarstone surfaces undergo rigorous fabrication testing and are renowned for excellent fabrication outcomes and quality.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid or materials containing it.

Avoid products containing oils as they may leave a residue. You should rinse all products thoroughly.

If the surface comes into contact with any products that might damage it, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Check each cleaning product on an inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn’t damage the surface.

Which cleaning products are suitable for porcelain?

Your surface is engineered to be highly nonporous; as such, it is non-absorbent and does not host bacteria, mould, or mildew. As a result, it remains safe and fresh for ultimate cleanliness.

Use your regular home cleaning products or our range of specialised Caesarstone® products and check the product first by applying it to an inconspicuous area on the surface. It’s best to avoid using the same cloth you use for washing dishes, as it may transfer oils and other contaminants to your surface.

Honed and Ultra Rough finishes are more prone to metal marks, fingerprints, and other signs of daily use, which can easily be removed with non-abrasive cleaning products such as Caesarstone® Spray Cleaner.
