After working with Caesarstone® for many years, Interior Designer Lerissa knew only Caesarstone® Excava™ could deliver the show-stopping focal point for the café they desired.

Inspired by authentic homemade cooking around Nonna’s table and the show-stopping appeal of Caesarstone® Excava™ sister duo Lerissa and Isabella Aspite are creating an innovative cafe experience designed to engage and tantalise your senses.

In design projects the colour and look are important, but the texture and robust qualities of Excava™ were the drawcards for this project. In a busy café, any spills would not interfere with the overall aesthetic. Excava™ makes a statement, when people walk in it catches their attention; it becomes a talking point and gives us a point of difference.

Located at G7/8 Merriville Rd, Kellyville Ridge NSW 2155, The Borrowed Table is a sophisticated blend of raw, organic shapes and textures complemented by intriguing bold surfaces. The copper tones, concrete and rough texture of the Excava™ centrepiece are enhanced by the soft neutral colour palette, custom designed coffee machine and simple cabinetry. The rich combination of white rendered walls, matte concrete floors and rustic timber beams all contribute to creating a warm, inviting space with a laidback Moroccan coastal island influence.

From the fresh ingredients, sourcing of local produce and the overall aesthetic Lerissa and Isabella are creating a continuously-evolving space that inspires creativity and delivers a joyful escape for visitors.
