Dream Home reveals Caesarstone® Porcelain Beige Ciment™ and Fume™

19/06/2024

The third week of Dream Home takes us to Queensland, to the 1970s Deception Bay home owned by Liam, one half of brothers Rhys and Liam, and the other, a 1950s weatherboard in Coorparoo, owned by Hannah and Jonny, parents to 10-month-old twins. Two tired, cramped kitchens were expertly transformed into light-filled, culinary powerhouses that gave us a great insight into current design directions featuring Caesarstone Porcelain™ Fume™ and Beige Ciment™.

Deception Bay: Celebrating family and friends

Hannah and Jonny brought their combined skills of creative flair and DIY smarts to the fore in this entertainer’s kitchen, complete with separate butler’s pantry.  With a crisp, contemporary colour palette, it is Caesarstone® Porcelain Fume™ that takes centre-stage, alongside all-white cabinetry, and timber detailing.

The central, timber-clad island bench repeats the curves seen throughout the home, while the work surfaces and splashbacks feature Caesarstone® Porcelain Fume™ – a theme that is repeated in the butler’s pantry, laundry, and bar.

The mellow beige base of Fume™, in a honed finish, with its all-over ripple of cream-coloured veining, adds visual interest to the space and complements the timber cladding and floors. Misty inclusions of mineral deposits add further richness and depth to the porcelain surface.

Coorparoo: Celebrating the curve, and clever technology

Sydney couple, Lara and Peter, brought a distinct creative flair to the transformation of this tired kitchen into a spacious, bespoke entertaining space. Curves, textured surfaces, and the inspired use of Caesarstone® Porcelain Beige Ciment™ ensure the perfect mix of character and efficiency.

A feature-alcove, housing the oven and cooktop, replicates the curved profile found in architectural statements throughout the house. The curved island bench, featuring Caesarstone Porcelain™ Beige Ciment™, incorporates a clever, automated sliding bench plus an additional pop-up work surface.

We think we can conclude, from the episodes so far, that Porcelain is a perfect choice for the modern kitchen – not only in aesthetics, but also its incomparable performance. Caesarstone Porcelain™ is a natural, sustainable product that is impervious to stains, heat, scratching and UV rays – and it carries a reassuring lifetime warranty.
