IT’S SAFE, SUSTAINABLE AND CRYSTALLINE SILICA-FREE!
3 min read
Six months into its transition from engineered stone to crystalline silica-free mineral surfaces, Caesarstone is reporting strong consumer acceptance of the new collection.
There are already some clear favourites emerging from the 18 surfaces currently available (with a further 15 designs arriving by December), with a preference for neutrals with warm, earthy undertones as well as some of the more bold, dramatic designs.
“The transition to crystalline silica-free has been easier than anticipated in terms of consumer acceptance,” said Linda Hannah, Caesarstone General Manager Marketing.
“We are attributing this to the fact the new format looks very similar to the original, while performing exactly the same – exceptional resistance to heat, stains and scratches – the only surface of its kind to carry a lifetime warranty,” she said.
Two of the most consistently popular neutrals are Raw Concrete and Bianco Drift. Raw Concrete (available now), with its warm taupe base and patina of tiny mineral deposits in charcoal and chalk, features a concrete finish and pairs well with materials such as timber, concrete and burnished metals.
For those seeking an engineered stone alternative, Bianco Drift (available in Crystalline Silica-Free format in September 2024), in a polished finish, has a base in the softest greige overlayed with delicate veining in mid greys, ecru and light browns. This surface is a popular choice for minimalist kitchens, with lots of white, as its texture and patina create a visual focus.
At the other end of the grey scale is Vanilla Noir (available now), its rich, luxurious ebony base washed with creamy vanilla veining. It’s at once bold and elegant and the perfect choice for statement-making island benches. Team it with polished glass and metallics, marble floors and exquisite timbers.
The new Caesarstone Mineral™ Crystalline Silica-Free collection is available in Grande size slabs – 3240 x 1640 x 20mm – to maximise the expanse of joint-free surface achievable.
Each Mineral Crystalline Silica-Free surface is produced with the utmost attention to sustainable practices. The surfaces, which will never require sealing, are both non-porous and non-toxic, with extensive independent testing certifying the absence of crystalline silica and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Caesarstone benchtops are guaranteed to be safe for use in the home. They serve as an excellent alternative to engineered stone benchtops, posing no risk during the fabrication or installation process, provided the necessary safety measures are adhered to
Caesarstone Mineral™ Crystalline Silica-Free surfaces now available include Snow, Intense White, Osprey, Pure White, Organic White, Fresh Concrete, Frosty Carrina, White Attica, Calacatta Nuvo, Empira White, Jet Black, Raw Concrete, Alpine Mist, Aterra Blanca, Statuario Maximus, Ocean Foam, Vanilla Noir and Arabetto.
Prices for the new Caesarstone Mineral™ Crystalline Silica-Free surfaces are similar to those of the brand’s original engineered stone, starting at $650/sqm (price includes basic fabrication and installation).
As more consumers seek sustainable options, Caesarstone’s new collection is rapidly becoming the go-to engineered stone alternative, combining aesthetic appeal with unparalleled durability.
