Jackie Brown's 1950s Renovation
__________
“I would strongly suggest living in your place for a while before you renovate... Living in it for a while allows you to use the space and see how you can optimise this to suit your lifestyle.”
Jackie Brown, Stylist

Jackie Brown is a stylist specialising in creative concepts, interiors and set design for both editorial and commercial clients. Her work has been featured in several of Australia’s leading lifestyle and interior magazines, so it's safe to say Jackie and her husband Martin were confident they could put their knowledge and skills to test during a six-week renovation of their 1950s apartment in Sydney.

Jackie's apartment is refreshing and simple.
Airy, fresh, light-filled spaces are accompanied by exquisite tonal elements. The white walls are offset by combination of timber, greenery, metallic pops and dusty hues, which all make for a perfectly styled home.

Kitchen
The open plan kitchen & dining area is a charming space, with an elegant Scandi/ Mid-Century vibe. A smart galley-style layout maximises the space, making for a functional kitchen with a sense of flow.

White vertical groove cabinetry compliments the Caesarstone Statuario Nuvo 5111 benchtops, which gives the kitchen a touch of marble-inspired luxury, and provides stunning contrast against the lime-washed oak timber flooring. The clever use of leather cabinet & drawer pulls from MadeMeasure add additional character to the kitchen.

Bathroom
The bathroom features a custom double vanity, and the walls are clad in vertical tongue and groove panelling. As in the kitchen, pale oak accents contrast perfectly with Caesarstone Statuaro Nuvo 5111. Leather door and drawer pulls add an extra element of texture.
