Caesarstone has rocked The Block 2012 on Channel 9 for another year, taking out the top spot in the kitchen renovation challenge as the bench top surface of choice in their new Freedom Kitchens.

An unprecedented three out of the four teams on The Block 2012 chose to use three of the newest additions to the Caesarstone Classico collection, with Dale & Sophie's Caesarstone Cocoa Fudge kitchen wowing the judges as the favourite.

Dale & Sophie's kitchen was praised for its rustic charm and warm ambiance, combining the rich Cocoa Fudge island with timber accents and retro accessories like the gooseneck tap and mixer.

But through clever strategy it was actually Mike & Andrew's Caesarstone Shitake kitchen which claimed the win by utilising the bonus points they had received in a previous challenge.

Their kitchen featured 40mm Shitake bench tops were an ideal compliment to the bright and modern styling of the kitchen which seamlessly incorporated both timber and brushed aluminium accents - including a striking timber ceiling.

Brad & Lara's kitchen provided a homely touch, opting for the classic white colour palette with a 40mm Caesarstone Ocean Foam island and bench tops, Caesarstone's newest, crisp white.

The Block 2012 kitchen challenge is the perfect example that if you're renovating, Caesarstone is the smart choice in bench top surfaces to add value to your home with a luxurious yet affordable touch.
