As a world champion surfer and most recently Commonwealth Games ambassador appearing at the closing ceremony in Glasgow, Mick Fanning is a quintessential Australian icon for whom the beach vibe is more than just an interior design trope, but rather a way of life.
From the weathered walls and ceiling to the antique sink and soft white colour palette, the new Caesarstone Snow kitchen of Mick Fanning together with wife Karissa offers a sophisticated twist on the beach front home lifestyle with an unprecedented level of authenticity that comes from a life dedicated to surfing.
Germancraft Cabinets together with Platinum Stone were tasked with transforming Mick Fanning and wife Karissa's vision into reality, and beneath the seemingly humble facade they have created a kitchen with amazing design and attention to detail.
“We wanted to create a simple kitchen without compromising on style, functionality or quality. For us Caesarstone was the obvious choice.” said Mick Fanning
The kitchen features an exquisite upcycled press metal sink, an integrated refrigerator, recycled timber cabinetry and floor, Smeg appliances, and brass handles which were specially chosen for their finish which will naturally tarnish over time from the salt air.
